Devin Figaro's only two points turned out to be the most important two points of the night.
With the score tied at 41-41, Figaro put back a ten foot jumper at the buzzer to lift the Lafayette High Lions to a critical 43-41 District 2-5A victory over the Barbe Buccaneers Tuesday night.
"On the bench, I was just imagining myself making a shot to help us win the game," said Figaro. "I felt like it would go in when it left my hand, and it did."
The first half was strictly a defensive struggle, as both teams were unable to get their respective offenses flowing, and Barbe winded up taking a 15-14 lead into the locker room at the half.
