    TTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEXXXXXXXXXXXXXAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

On 3rd and 5, when Texas passes the ball up the middle, I was like WHAT are they doing, let Vince Young who has taken you this far, pump fake a pass and RUN to the RIGHT, USC had not stopped him ALL night.

Maybe the 3rd and 5 though help set up the 4th and 5 with the pump fake, tuck and run to the right!!

DaddyCajun just very glad USC did NOT win the game, period!!

I didn't really care who won the game. If TX won, I was happy to see USC's streak come to an end. And living out on the west coast area, it gets old quick having to hear about how great the PAC-10 is, and how amazing USC is, etc., etc...

However, if SC won, it would have made my day listening to the sports crews talk about SC's "3rd straight national championship", knowing that it was driving LSU fans crazy. So either way, I was happy. I'm just glad it was a great game all of the way through!

I did really want Texas to win, but thats a southern bias in me. The media loves USC (mainly because their from hollywood blah blah blah), but I knew they were under-rating Texas. The only incling of sadness I felt for USC was for Kimosc who comes over here and posts and seems to be a good man who supports both cajun and trojan athletics, and for him, I say tough luck on that game, and maybe they can start a new streak next season.

I dont think there was anymore a media bias for USC than there would have been for any other team that had accomplished what they had. When you have that much star power on one team and you have won 34 straight games of course your going to hear about them all the time. I didn't care either way who won this game because I didn't have a dog in the fight, I am only concerned with UL's wins and loss's.

You're right. Also, Texas didn't run through us, Colorado, etc.....they ran right over us!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that was very considerate of you - you didn't have to say that. Thanks. And check this - while the Cajuns are riding a long winning streak going into next season, SC...does not!

About the media - it wasn't really *us* they loved as the story we were giving them. We were just the hot team of the moment. We couldn't get the time of day 5 or 6 years ago.

The media needs a focal point, and having a dominant team gives them something to talk about and creates a situation where the fans of all other teams can coalesce in opposition. Parity is bad for ratings. And I read where the Rose Bowl was the highest rated game in something like 15 years. The media got what it wanted.

Now they'll move on to Texas. They now have the title, the streak, the marquee quarterback. They'll get the attention - and the target. Every down will be scrutinized for weakness. People will celebrate when they finally lose. It's how the machine works. I was just lucky to cheer for the team everyone hated for a while.
