All of us knowing what a tight sss Benson is....Who on this earth of any quality would apply for this job, at slaves wages???

Next question... If you are Lineart or Bush, do you pull a Manning/Elway and say "gety the h.ell away from me", or take the money, knowing full well you will be surrounded by mediocrity till you are either injured(beyond repair) or traded???

I could give a rats sss.....just wanted an "unbiased"(yeah right) opinion...

Neither Linert, nor Bush had the backing that Manning had, or the options that Elway had. They may bristle, but if drafterd will play wherever they are drafted. Linert value next year drops his pay big time if he sits out a year.

He may be one of the poorer paid coaches, but he was not when he signed his contract, nor was Dicka. My point is that Benson's thight purse strings are not borne out over time. He has however been under the salary cap 4 straight seasons.

Your alma mater UL, looked absolutely lost, and unmotivated last night.
No one here is very excited about last night. We accept this because the kids and Coach Bustle have worked awfully hard this year and they have made some positive strides. They are only kids.

The Saints on the other hand, payout millions in salaries to players and coaches. There should be absolutely no problem being motivated for each and every game. Todays effort reached an all time low.

YOU NEED TO GET THE ____ OUT OF NEW ORLEANS ASAP!!!!!!!

Do whatever it takes to keep yourself from being thrown into any game the rest of this year. Stay healthy, move on.

Article in the Houston Chronicle today indicates the Texans will definitely pick Bush. Therefore the decision for the Saints will be Leinart or trade down. They could still get a good QB (Vandy guy for example) later in the first round. They need a veteran like Brad Johnson or Jon Kitna to get them through the transition to whoever they get in the draft.

My biggest concern is not making the Saints as good as they could be 5 years from now but rather keeping them in Louisiana after next year.

I would like to see the Saints hire Mike Sherman get Brett Farve and sign Rohan Davey as a free agent. I know Rohan has only thrown 19 passes in 4 years but after throwing for over 3000 yards in one season at LSU I have this feeling about him that he could do it in the NFL.

Farve-Mississippi Davey-Louisiana could help bring fans to Saints games next year.

a very good point here. things have to "go right" for the long term stay as i think benson can break his lease with state after next year if he so chooses..

Think you are right. Benson can leave after next season without penalty. And, you know he wants to leave; so hopefully the corporate sponsors and fans will show up. If not, I really think he will bolt.
