Phillips is a much higher profile recruit as he was committed to Florida before opening up his recruitment again. He will likely go BCS and namely, LSU. We are looking at their CB in Patterson as another hopeful add

Fair enough, but quite different than La Tech offered? I saw somewhere yall had 16 commits, but only see 9 on Rivals?

You don't get married unless you go steady. You don't go steady until you go out on a date. In this case Tech asked the kid out & he said NO? That means Tech didn't get to 1st base. Rivals sucked hind end on UL's recruiting last year. They are the last ones I would follow if I was interested in UL recruiting.

Yeah, I suspect many schools ask kids to visit (as backups) as a courtesy, but never offer. I suspect LSU and Houston also asked him to "visit". Nonethelss pretty good pick up for the Cajuns I guess, he did have offers from McNeese and Arizona State.

You can be sure of one thing. If the HUD is after him, he can play ball for a LOT of D1 schools & that's a fact.

Congrats to you guys on your punter being named recipient of the Ray Guy award ... he had an excellent season! It was also noted on ESPN that he is the first recipient of any of the awards from a non AQ conference!
