Thread: Josh Brown unclear about injury

  1. Default Josh Brown unclear about injury

He got hurt in a November home game against Cal State Fullerton, then missed UL's next two outings.

But don't ask him how it happened, because Josh Brown has no clue.

What seems strange to me is that when a team is winning nobody seems to be hurt but when they are not doing well everyone seems to be hurt. I was thinking about Hudspeth and how motivated the football players are this year and how few injuries compared to past years. I wonder if the basketball team need to run the stadium with 50 lb sacks on their back? Maybe Marlin should contact the strength and fitness coach to help the basketball team. It's just a shame their always seems to be injuries with the basketball team - last year it was the 6'7" forward can't remember his name - always hurt. I am not talking about LaRyan Gary as that was devastating. Hope they get better.

Josh plays extremely hard. I've never had any reason to question his heart or dedication to helping the team win. I don't question his injury.

I agree 100%. The injury in question was a concussion. I can see exactly why he was dazed going into the locker room and not remembering what happened. What point is this article trying to make?

It is poorly written if you never mention the nature of the injury.

It does say "woke up" and "while he was out" but the while he was out portion was not a comment related to his brain injury. The article relies on an informed fan base.

My comment was pointed not only to the article, but to the first sentence in Willis' comment above mine. He seemed to imply that Josh being hurt might have been partly because we are not winning as much as we'd like.

Or that there could be a correlation between the rigorous offseason training the football team does and less injuries which is true. However, to get a concussion when slamming your head against the floor has nothing to do with conditioning.

He was hit really hard and fell to the floor. Really whacked him. You could tell he was dazed when he got up. Wondered what took so long for the coaching staff to notice. He was out while on court. Having had one or two in HS days - not fun.
