How does this work? How does WKU get their deal done quicker?

They aren't in the middle of getting ready for a bowl. That's how. Sucks for them, good for us. I'm sure Hud doesn't mind waiting a bit.

Once again the eggheads miss the point. Taggart, if his success continues will be an investment in educational donations, additional high GPA students, and MO MONEY to the university for the eggheads.

I mean I get it. Academics vs Entertainment, but it really is not that. The eggheads will never get Taggerts money even if he did not exist. It really is bad entertainment vs good entertainment and one costs you mone and the other brings you money.

Taggart probably doesn't care about how big the buyout clause is. I'm sure that is a pretty contentious negotiation for UL and HUD.

I have a Question Re: Taggart lands $475K payday...

Why would you give Hud an offer before the most important game in school history? Win or lose Hud needs a pay raise, but if we lose big or win big one might change some of the fine print. Wait till the end of the season and go from there.

Our need to get a Hud a new contract was based on the fact that other mid majors were offering him substantially more $ to come and coach at their programs. This contract is as much in response to keeping Hud away from other mid-majors thant rewarding hims for the season.
