Thread: Best Bowl Cities (multi pic)

  1. UL Football Best Bowl Cities (multi pic)

Forget the bowl, forget the teams.

Pick the current bowl cities you find most desirable for bowl games.

I'd have to say that New Orleans and Orlando (yes, I'm gonna be a homer on this) are probably the better spots just because there are plenty of hotels and other things to do in those cities before and after the games.

    Boise Idaho no doubt

I couldn't decide between Boise, Bronx or Shreveport.

  5. Default Re: Best Bowl Cities (multi choice)

It's VERY hard to say New Orleans when Honolulu is on there.

The Grand Ole Opry. Everything else I can think of is in Memphis.

Well, other than Shreveport (Duh!), there's always Detroit. No more glamorous cities than that. Ever!

I've been to Honolulu. I'd take NOLA any day.

Shreveport is actually a great place to live and not a bad bowl city. Is it San Diego or Honolulu? Of course, not, but there are also worse places to visit than Shreveport. Come visit sometime, you might be surprised. Every bowl team that has come through Shreveport has had nothing but good things to say about the Independence Bowl. The bowl is always one of the most watched competitive bowls on ESPN and this years Independence Bowl is no exception. It will match Missouri against North Carolina, both teams are expected to bring a large contingency of fans that will spend alot of money in the Ark-La-Tex.

I would agree with this. If I had to live anywhere in LA besides lafayette it would probably be Shreveport. Lots of things to do and very easy to drive around the city. Also have some sweet bike trails that you can't find down here. Oh, and it doesn't stink of corndogs either, well for the most part.

I agree, just the same. If I had to live anywhere in LA besides Shreveport, it would probably be Lafayette. We do however, have more than our fair share of LSWHO Bandwagon fans. So beware!
