I believe this is genuine and he isn't going anywhere for awhile. Hudspeth hit the nail on the head when he said "the sky is the limit". He sees the writing on the wall, this athletic program in general is running full steam ahead and is rising quickly. With all of the conference realignment going on hopefully he believes UL will be recruited by a better conference in the coming years. I believe he wants to be the man to take us to the top. This town has been starving for a winner for a long time and now that we have it, we aren't going to let go and we will thrive for years to come.
Hud sees this as being very evident and likely wants to be a major part of it. And regarding him leaving too soon, this isn't a college athlete we are talking about, it's not like he can help himself by leaving sooner rather than later like a junior in college hoping to avoid injury in his senior season and heading to the NFL. He can only build upon his resume` at this University and he knows what the value of multiple winning seasons and hopefully multiple conference championships can bring to his leveraging power.
Coach Hud is a Ragin' Cajun and he ain't going anywhere!
Geaux Cajuns!
