Freeze to Ole Miss helps out UL a lot. Now we just have to hope that Mullen doesn't go to Penn State.
you will have that answer soon enough
Now why wouldn't they want Fedora after that performance his team had & the season USM had? BTW, where you been? We've been through the shakes & DTs over losing our coach to MSU & he's still here. Don't tell me yall threw Mullen a moving party & just finished packing the dishes & such?
It's been pretty much common knowledge that if Mullen leaves, they have two choices: Hud and Manny Diaz. The fans prefer Hud; I don't know what the administration prefers. If Mullen leaves, there's >50% chance we're looking for a new coach.
i dont talk about coaching searches and rumors because I have inside info and dont want anyone to question my loyalty to them one way or the other. But I can tell you this, Fedora and MSU just wouldnt mesh. Like I said, remember two names. Mullen has gotten ____ed at everyone who has questioned if he is going to Penn STate. I know one thing, it is his dream job. But the recruiting class he will end with this year might be enough to keep him at MSU
as far as Freeze to Ole Miss, I am hearing conflicting reports. If it is him, he is a past Ole Miss coach and knows the deal here. He can recruit and will do a good job. No doubt Ole Miss is loaded at certain skill positions, he will need 2-3 years to recruit OL/DL. Thats where they got beat all year long. Will Ole Miss fans give him 3 years to turn it around, thats the million dollar question. I know it might not be the big name they wanted, but a solid hire none the less
I don't know if you remember or not, but a lot of people weren't sold on Hud when he came here, he didn't have the sexy name, but after a little time here, he made even the most disappointed fan into a believer. I think Freeze can do the same thing. A lot people will just be happy that Ole Miss is trying a new direction.
Ok. You insiders can't do this to the rest of us now. There is something you guys know that I certainloy don't know about Fedora. I haven't gone back & studied his history or anything. What is the "percieved" drawback on him? Is he not marketable to MSU only due to something in his or their past, or is this a Fedora thing? Thanks in advance.
