And he has applied to law school......may have to put that on hold for awhile.
Still thinking about going to the game. If I do, it will be to cover it for someone as a freelancer. If not, I'll probably cover the Rice-Lamar basketball game here in Houston. (I'll be in Chicago that week until Friday.)
San Diego State is an interesting opponent. The Aztecs have four losses this season to teams with a combined 39-9 record (10-2 Michigan, 10-2 TCU, 8-4 Wyoming and 11-1 Boise State). Sophomore RB Ronnie Hillman rushed for nearly 1,700 yards. Could be a shootout between two teams averaging at least 29 points per game this season.
The Aztecs had an average home attendance of nearly 40,000 this season. But this is only the second time they've made back-to-back bowl appearances (other time was 1966 and '67). The announced attendance for their win last year over Navy in the Poinsettia Bowl was 48,049 - but it was played in San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium. I don't expect them to bring a big crowd to New Orleans. But if the Cajuns fans show up they'll break the New Orleans Bowl attendance record (30,228) set when Middle Tennessee beat Southern Miss in 2009.
You better get another watch then, cause even a broken watch tells the right time twice a day. That don't make it reliable. I could care a less about any LSU fans or Alabama fans at this point. What matters is the players & I've heard Mr. Richardson from Alabame speak the last couple of days & can tell you for a fact he's scared. Nick got what he wanted. Now his team has to pay the price. His best bet would have been to back out like Gundy did, win their bowl game & then try to thieve 1/2 the title. LSU 31- Alabama 10. Now leave me be with the small stuff & let me enjoy the HUD kicking butt at the New Orleans bowl.
