    a bad enough hire can dig a school in a hole that will take around 10 years to get out of. See North Texas.

    He's never been a head coach and his brother was/is the real defensive coordinator at Nebraska. I just don't see why people think this is a good hire. Especially if he's being payed 400K+
    He hasn't proven really anything.

    Interesting. Could that same description be applied to Mike Stoops regarding his tenure at Oklahoma and his subsequent stint as HC at Arizona?

    Mike Stoops is a respected defensive coordinator. There's a reason that teams are lining up to have him. Paul Petrino is also a guy who is the brother of a head coach, but he's generally respected as a good offensive mind.
