I saw on ESPN they lost to #17 Pittsburgh by only 11. The score was 80-69. They look like a really good team and could help our RPI down the road.

I was at the Duquesne. One of the worst performances I have ever seem from our team. Leave it at that. The coaches will get it corrected.
i watched duquesne give kansas all they wwanted until late in the 4th, we played terrible but they are a pretty good ball club.
Nothing another team accomplishes makes me fell better about what my team failed to accomplish.
We need to get a WHOLE lot better before even talking RPI, and such nonsense.
This team, like last years team, plays ugly basketball, and the only thing good about ugly basketball is if it can win for you. Have we lost forever the fast break, and smothering defensive teams we had in the past? I don't know but the only way I get excited about the direction of this team will be a lot of wins, and not on last second shots.
Coach Marlin will be the first to admit he is not happy with the performance of this team so far. Yea we have injuries, but so what every team gets injuries. Yea I know it is to our two best players, but that is when you have to up your defensive effort and a twenty point blow out, because the game was a lot worse than the score, is not putting on the defensive blinders.
I will be there tonight, but am not excited about our prospects in this game or conference games.
Realizing that a team you recently lost to is better than you thought should not be considered a moral victory.
It is a realization that the near future will not produce your worst fears.
Nothing makes me feel better about losing that game!
IBRED, you can point out RPI etc. but say you just play a TOUGH schedule. where potentially all teams that are played can positively affect your RPI, but you lose a good amount of them. Finishing barely .500 or right at .500 on the season will not make your team attractive to anybody and it is nothing to brag about.
The schedule the Cajuns play this year are WEAK and getting a pounding against one of the only Good teams on the schedule...not even a great team, just good. Shows that we have a long way to go as far as the Basketball team. I hope it happens sooner than later, but so far the hype that people give Bob Marlin is not credible. Yes we went on a run last year, but we need to be able to beat out of conference opponents just as much as conference foes and ALSO need to atleast make it to the finals of the Sun Belt Conference Tourney and not lose in the first or second round.
RPI helps when you beat the teams no one expects you to beat or win the TOUGH games. Not lose to them.
