I think some people are mistakenly believing that his journey to the SEC started with us. The guy has been in coaching for almost 20 years working towards that goal. He left a head coaching job to be an assistant at State to get this opportunity. While the timing is not good for us, it probably could not be better for Hud.

But he hasnt built the program. Yet. He's built a team. It takes more time to build a program.

Having said that, I'll have no problem if he heads to Mississippi State.

This is what gets me more than anything. I noticed in his coaching history, that he has had a few 1 year stints and then moved on.

My fingers were crossed that he would stay 3 yrs before moving on. 3 years of his recruits and a hopeful continuance of winning would have been nice

The fact the Hudspeth said Mullen "would do a really good job" at Penn State makes me nervous (as true as it may be). Good luck to both of them in whatever they choose, but my heart is obviously here in Lafayette.

Must be something pushy about Big 10 schools in their coach searches. A few years ago Michigan hounded Les Miles so bad he ultimately had to say no just to shut everyone up. If they keep pushing Mullen he may have no choice but to take his name out of consideration.

It would be an incredible life long legacy for Coach to lead our Cajuns to 52000 fans in remodeled stadium. The new stadium would literally be a monument to him if he stayed to this point. We get our foundation in place.Hud spends next 10+ years piling up mounds of SEC LOOT
