I think is kind of funny. LaState fans always say that Boise isn't worthy because of who they beat. According to them, not just beating someone, but WHO you beat is important.
Well, I just had a discussion with a big LaState fan. I mentioned that I thought OSU should be #2 and should play for the championship. He said he disagreed because of who OSU had lost to...as compared to Bama. When I brought up who they beat (as all have stated is so important for Boise), he said that wasn't important. He was who you lost to.
So who you beat IS important (as Jay's argument stated)...UNLESS it ISN'T important...as when the argument needs to be switched to who you lost to.
For the record, I want Saban to have a second shot at dem tigas.
Alabama lost to LSU at home.
Alabama didnot win their division much less conference.
OSU has a loss on the road in a tragic situation.
Personally I think You have more people who wanna see LSU OSU, not Bama. Saw that already, almost feel asleep.
LSU OSU is the only way to garantee a champ in this format.
LSU plays Bama and Bama beats LSU, OSU waxes someone in the fiesta. Split NC.
LSU plays OSU winner takes all bama cant say S%#T
LOL
I get the irony CR, who you lost to is more important than who you beat. Even if the who you beat, out numbers, the who you lost to 5-1
LOL
Jay, does the Harris poll attempt to define a set of guidelines for you to use when voting? Do they just say "vote in order who you believe are the best teams in the top 25" or is there anything that tends to instruct you to vote based on some result criteria?
OSU players became depressed and unable to play football once they attained a huge lead into the third quarter. At that time they realized what a tragic event had befallen each and every one of them and collasped. COME on people do not do this to a very talented team. They did not have the mojo that night. That is all there is to it.
IMO BAMA had their chance at number one, and cold not close the deal, so no do over, no mulligan. Somehow that simply seems wrong. They had every element of advantage except a couple. Weak special teams play, and Saban making mental errors in the overtime.
I agree, it should be Oklahoma State. First LSU has already beat Alabama - so why play again. Second, Oklahoma State has a great offense and LSU has a great defense so it would be very interesting to see how that would play out. Personally, I don't want to see the same teams play each other twice - its stupid! LSU versus Oklahoma State would be a lot more interesting. I generally root for Alabama and hardly ever even care what LSU does but right is right>
