IF he leaves, how about a "Thank you coach for taking our team to heights it hasnt reached in 41 years, and making our school an attractive place for whoever takes your place. Good luck down the road." Hud got this community to "grab the rope", its our job to hold onto it, no matter what, and with whoever is next.

Hud needs to stop acting like he wants the first train out of town!!!!! How DOES THIS LOOK TO RECRUITS???? I can understand he looking out for his family, but damn it.... If this goes on until after the season, the longer he looks and finally accepts another job, the farther we get behind in recruiting and finding another coach!!!! Anyone notice he has not said he staying or he is committed to US ????? bull____ That being said, I have confidence in Scott Farmer and OUR PRESIDENT .. but im sure they getting ____ed to!!!!!

I have been thinking the same thing all day. I know every man has to do what is best for him and his family, but da$% he asked a lot from the fans and the community this year and we delivered. He asked for RCAF donations and they went through the roof! He asked to pack the stand and we broke every Sunbelt record possible. Hold onto the rope! Coach needs to say that while looking in the mirror. But 2 million a year IS a lot of $$$

Exactly...for me it would depend a lot on the job he left for after one year. If he leaves here for another mid-major with a miniscule pay raise, I'd be a little upset but I'd thank him for everything he's done in one short year. However, if he leaves for a job in the SEC, in NO WAY can I blame the man, and I'd help load his bags for him if he needed. That's something you don't pass up.

He took the same players that were 3-9, and made them 8-4 through changing their attitudes, mentality, the way they do things, and doing more of it. Same thing with the fans. He showed the way to do it, and convinced us to step up and get it done. He asked a lot of the fans and community, and youre right, donations went up, and so did attendance. IF he leaves, he's not taking that with him!!

Some people need to take a deep breath and don't react to every bit of coaching rumor news on the internet. I'm not saying this report might not become reality in 48 hours or so, but there is nothing in this story that suggest they have come to agreement.
