Fu*k Boomer you need anti Tech counseling. It took Tech years to be average...It took us 10 months to reach the average level. Another 10 months and we surpass their bull______t by miles... Snap out of it sucker.

I would wager there were a lot of struggles within the administration as to whether to pay a coach the kind of money the HUD is making right now. There was no evidence that this thing would work out, especially so quickly. These guys are now counting more money that they have ever seen in their lives. They are also realizing they will have to spread that money around to grow more of it for the future. When you have guys like Cajunhawk stepping out & challenging this group to dig deep, that isn't some flathead being lead around with a hook in his jaw. That is a fan with a vision for the future. It is inspirational & it is exactly the kind of thing this school needs to KNOW that their work & risk is paying off. This is exactly the kind of THINKING of the fan base, by the fan base that continues to challenge the rest of the fan base & takes the program to the next level.
Kyle, I will be the first to say that a few critical fans were "instrumental" in the creation of the "new way". But, the things that are happening at UL were at UL's disposal for decades. The fans you see today were there in waiting. It takes people within control of the program to start pushing the right buttons to make fans light up. The fan nation, each layer, does not materialize on it's own. Thankfully, our president and AD know that I'm right and they are operating the control panel accordingly.

It's all good and how you and I see it differently matters not. Thanks for being a Cajuns fan.

Hey Z Baby we have gone through this before----BUT please accept reality----According to the average polls that came out this week, we are at #72 and Tech is at 44----that is a 28 team spread over the Cajuns-----Do I think that we will pass them ---Yes unless they get into a CUSA deal----But to not respect them is crazy---I hate them as I have mentioned very much for just reasons but I fully respect where they have been and what they have tried to make happen!!!! Gonna do the key board and vocals at Patty Os I hope ---Now if I can find a guy to take a ride in B flat!!!! LOL See you in the City man!!!!

We WERE at #120 - getting to #72 in one year ain't bad!

The point is we are a new entity now; I like to think of us as being in our 3rd year of FBS existence ... we will continue to improve in all areas as long as EVERYONE continues to INVEST in UL. LA Tech is at 44 and they may be maxing out.

We shouldn't be obsessing OR respecting them. What respect do we owe them anyway?

Tech's battles are not our battles. They've always been a 6 cylinder football engine that has used their 6 cylinders to the max. They have decades of maxing out those 6 cylinders while our 12 cylinder football engine has dilly-dallied around using 1 to 3 cylinders as a norm... with a max of 4. We just engaged our 5th and 6th cylinder this year.

I no more want to keep up with what Tech has going on than they want to know about how much "potential" we still have in the steam chest. There were times that we used their eager-beaver football attitude as a measuring stick against our prior regime's lack of eagerness. Well, now that we have a new regime and we've kicked off the first phase of our football program improvement, we have no need to take a look at Tech. It will not be long before they are looking at UL and saying "damn... they really did have a huge amount of stored potential... and all it took was the right management to unleash it".

Thank you sir for your vindication and assessment of the situation----No doubt there is a NEW feeling in the air and a continued effort will put us in a position where we all wish and deserve---Way ahead of the TECH dudes!!!!!

It is pretty simple. La. Tech students and faculty make up a very significant portion of the population of Ruston. We are only talking 21K in Ruston and 46K in all of Lincoln parish. Lafayette parish is 221K. The MSA for Lafayette is much larger as well.

Ruston avg. income is 25K or 17 K below state avg. Lafayette avg. is 45K or 2.5K higher than the state avg.

They are sharing this fan base with Grambling, and ULM in their backyard. Shreveport will always be an LSU town due to LSU-S.

We have to battle LSU in the fanbase category but that is it. Larger population, larger enrollment, and higher incomes all play significantly in our upside. We haven't taken advantage of that until now. Tech does not have much more headroom and we have plenty.

Yes they are and if you would ever read and assess the content of my TECH posts you would clearly see that the former has ALWAYS been stressed and that the latter has never even been mentioned---You and the Z Man just don't deal with facts and if you did you would see my points!!! Is Z correct in his thoughts of past administrations killing us---YES----Is he correct in visualizing our future----YES----Is Morecajun right is his point of our going from 120th to 72nd---of course----Just realize that this is an ongoing situation where you never underestimate your enemy-------BTW--Would we all have loved to have seen the TECH faces upon reading our news of our future Med School???? We are all in the same book and chapter but please acknowledge what page we are on at the present!!!!
