He is not going to get the Ole Miss job he has pulled his name in other words they told him he was not there man.

Remember that HUD interviewed for the Miss State job and became their off coordinator------I would guess that all the Starkvillers love him---I know Johnny Boy does----No state job he is a Cajun---State open he is barking in Mississippi---he'll be Dog-gone!!!! This is a no Boner ahh Brainer!!!!
No idea. You'd have to ask the ADs of those respective schools. I just don't see it as a long shot. (Other than Hud pulled his name out of the Ole Miss running.) Notice that Malzahn and Smart are being mentioned as head coaching candidates yet have never been FBS head coaches. Malzahn was a head coach at the prep level, but Smart has never led a program. The fact Hud was successful as North Alabama's head coach from 2002-08 will be considered by any AD with a brain.
I understand that. And, because he does have at least a limited history with State, he might be a front runner. But, he does have a limited history as a head coach. And, after the Orgeron fiasco, I wonder if they would be willing to take a chance on someone with little "big time" experience. If I'm State or 'Ol Miss, I have a very basic decision to make. Do I want to really compete in the SEC West with LSU, Bama, Auburn, and, now, even Arkansas. And, if I do, can I afford to? Can I generate enough extra income, even with some real success to pay to compete. If the answer is "Yes." then I won't a "name" of some dimension to get everyone excited and the fatcats to start putting up the money. If the answer is "No." then, as an up and coming and ambitous coach, do I want to put my future in that situation?
Literally every Mississippi State fan wants Hud or Manny Diaz. So we better hope if Mullen goes to PSU, Manny Diaz interviews like crazy.
