Former Cajun QB Brian Mitchell is near the top of the list for all purpose yards in the NFL. Recall he was a great kick return guy in that league.

The Cajuns 7 Int returns for TD's this season ties an NCAA record which has stood since 1971.

Brian is 2nd and was #1 when he retired.

In the wire to wire catagory, only 2 schools "older" than 100 (UL and Stanford) can say football has existed for every single year in its history. While some schools are even older and football wasn't even yet invented, there are many schools younger than UL who waited several if not many years before starting a football program.

ps MTSU joins this over 100 group next year.

In the consecutive years of fielding a football team catagory: UL ranks 19th all time.

The only semi blip was the 1905 team that was fully formed but only faced a UL Alumni team (two games) due to a Yellow Fever epidemic quarantine.

UL is the Last team to make it to a bowl game of ALL the original D1 schools when formed back in the 1970s!!!
