They did that because lsu&a&mc wouldn't let him play offense... same way we got Brian Mitchell.

In this case you could be. Curtis Johsnon is a very well organized good position coach & has a recieving corps that is good on the field & quiet off the field. His guys are the definition of true professionals & he is the same.
I saw him talking with Rocky Arceneaux & Perry Clark last night. There is some teeth in this rumor.
You can keep coming up with a list of excuses but Curtis Johnson can recruit NOLA and he would steal some top tier NOLA guys if Tulane relaxes their standards a bit
"if Tulane relaxes their standards a bit"
I agree... but that ain't happening.
Really, relax their standards? I hope you know a little bit about THEIR standards. Right now they waive 11 grant and aids a year. If you redshirt 80% of your freshman you will only have about 17-18 schlorships available yearly. You telling me you do not think TooLame can find 6 or 7 student athletes that qualify and are quality A1 players. If so it is a them problem, not a player problem.
Jerry, it IS a 'them' problem at Tulane. They [as you well know] have had an openly antagonistic relationship with athletics for the last half century. They can give all the lip service they want to, NOBODY believes that that relationship is going to change. The Administration at Tulane is never going to actually promote athletics... and no coach worth his salt is going to go there if he knows that.
Mullen staying at state ...
News will break tomorrow that HUD will be tulane's next coach. 4 year 1.25 million a year with a bonus structure that could get him close to 2 million ..
