For Troy the answer is easy, Middle Tennessee. We hate those guys and they hate us. But who do you guys hate? And why? _
The schools biggest rival has always been and will always be McNeese. However, most people do not want to hear that but everyone knows it to be true. 2nd to that would have to be the Warhawks(Indians). Outside of those two there really is nobody else that can be considered a "rival" per say. It would be preferred that a "bigtime" school would be a rival but there really is none to be honest.

I thought I'd hear ULM in there somewhere. WIsh we had an in state rival. UAB was being set up for such but they decided not to play us anymore. Claimed since they were in a superior conference (CUSA) they had little to gain from a win and too much face to lose for being beaten. Cocky idiots, they don't seem to understand that in the state of Alabama, Auburn and Bama are #1...and TROY is #2. UAB is not even on the map in our state.

I know what you mean. There are a few of those "idiots" around these parts also. The McNeese rivalry goes waaaay back. It was always heated and exciting. Ultimately, it's safe to say that they're the biggest rivalry for the cajuns.

You're wasting your time with that one. He's a known flamer and a troll.

None of our fans have any fondess for the current incarnation of the sideline mascot cayenne the pepper. So, his choice of name is a source of irritation, not pride.

McNeese State is in Lake Charles, and a member of the division formerly known as DIAA. They haven't been our rivals since the early 80's.

To answer your question, McNeese State is in Lake Charles, LA, about 70 miles west of Lafayette.

They were our longest and most bitter rival. But, the two teams haven't played in football since 1986......until this year.
