167 is not interstate the whole way, so if you aren't interested in 2 lane highways you should go the other way.

I am wondering where the party spots are? Does Lafayette have a centralize area where most of the clubs/resturants are?
Downtown on Jefferson St. is where most of the dance clubs are at.

Nope it's 21 here now, of course that doesn't stop people but that's another story.

Take Little Rock to Texarkana, then Texarkana to Shreveport, get on inner loop south to I-49. Once there, you are are at mile marker 199, you are 3 hours to Lafayette via interstate highways. Hwy 167 is a speed trap all the way down. You can travel 75 mph but after that you may get caught.
Once you get into Alexandria, La. be carefull there also.
As for clubs, one forgot to mention Graham Central Station, across from Cajun Field. 3 clubs in 1. Jefferson Street is Good like they said, but a must trip to the KEG is also. It has been remodeled since I was there opening night in 1967. I have survived after those years. Lots of places to eat. NO Bad place to eat except your usual Chain Resturants.
Have fun, stay out of trouble and it will be an experience you won't ever forget. Good luck to the Indians
Thanks guys for the assistance and advice. I can't wait to visit.
I know it does little good, but congrats on your season.

Friend asked me what it would mean if Houston ended up in the New Orleans Bowl. My answer. Everyone will be wearing red.Originally Posted by Geaux clotille
