Please get the $$$$ off our message board we don't need tigger fans here who are only going to bring this negative $$$$. People like you are the reason most of us hate lsua&m.

You sir are a waste of air for such a negative post. The Sunbelt is a very viable low budget conference that can provide exciting football and an exciting end to great season. For those of us not born into LSU fanhood but rather chose to support our local University.

I congratulate the Tigers on a wonderful season too bad much like the Cajuns a Stumble early in the season will keep them out of the big one. For the Cajun Faithful The New Orleans Bowl is huge.

Now take your negative comment away and let's all pull for the Tigers on Saturday.

Ha! This is never going to happen. This loser and Mineshaft will never quit posting negative comments on our board.

The more of this |||| I read, the more I despise them!

I could really care less about the SEC championship game this weekend, but now I think I'll be pulling for Georgia. Sic 'em dawgs!!

I could not Disagree more with the Georgia Comment. Unless of course you are from Georgia. To pull against the Tigers just to pull against them is wrong. I believe in trickle down. I also pull for the Tigers as an afterthought because I have absolutely no ties to LSU.

Actually I will skip one Christmas Party to see the Cajuns play B-Ball.

The rule was written in Spring of 2002. Ineligible teams would be excluded BEFORE starting tie-breaking to avoid having a situation where the ineligible team won the tie-breakers.

One thing the Sun Belt has done is stick to the rules the season started under. The New Orleans Bowl and ESPN both begged and pleaded for the Sun Belt to shaft UNT in 2001 but the league stuck by the rules as they were.

Now in classy conferences like the SEC tie-breakers can be re-written mid-season (see the situation where the SEC re-wrote the tie-breaker that called for the AD's to vote to break an unbreakable tie for division champion and replaced it with using the BCS rankings). Or in a classy conference like the WAC bowls aren't required to honor their contracts (see the WAC when Tulsa finished second which should have sent them to San Jose but the Silicon said screw you and picked Fresno who had lost the second place tie-breaker, but for the Big 12 being short in Fort Worth and ESPN wanting a ranked Boise, that would have been a huge mess).

I've been hearing GLOWING reports of the community support. Supposedly local sales are well ahead of what they ever were in New Orleans at this point.

Some folks are saying that the folks in Boise are getting to the point where they don't want Boise State in the Humanitarian because they would rather have a few thousand out-of-town folks than several times that number Bronco fans because the economic impact is so much greater by the time folks spend two or three nights in a hotel and eat out for every meal instead of having locals drive across town to support them. A lot of the locals buy tickets enjoy the game but hope Boise is playing someplace else.

I think Lafayette has a very good chance of being a permanent bowl site.

Very well written rebuttal for the defense being that the name of the of the board is Rage Page. Let us have our rage and by the time the Bowl gets here we will pull for it's yet to say the Indians. The rules always are ridiculed when you are on the wrong end of the right.

Good Lord man! You just got banned from tigerland! You must keep reminding yourself that every citizen of this state mustsupport the tiggers. They play this Saturday, I think. Surely you want to be a "good citizen".

Thats what I've been saying, since I read the "Boycott" post.

We have a chance to lure people to Lafayette. It's the first bowl game, the first ever in Lafayette. We will be live on ESPN.

If someone is out there watching.... oh let's say Tabasco... they might see a huge crowd.... a fun atmosphere and next year we've got the Tabasco Hot Sauce Bowl!

The boycott thread may be the worst thread I've ever read on any Sports board. I think the article by College Football news may be true to some extent; but ASU won the tiebreaker, and we should all acknowledge that they are the Sunbelt representative. Having said all of this, I believe it is our duty to support them in any way we can.
