Could you blame them? He agrees to an interview before his first season is over?

We need to understand that there is no such thing as loyalty in CFB. We can fire him for losing games, and he can take a huge pay raise at another school for winning games. This is how it works!

In CFB? What about life in general? If someone comes and offers you double the money and all the perks.. .you'd leave your job in a heartbeat. Be realistic about this thing guys.

Hey...I don't disagree with you. But then, I'm not the one that came into here spittin fire and talking about holding onto to that rope. With all that hype, I really thought he'd take more than 9 games to say..."Wait...on second thought...".

So if he actually interviews and doesn't get the job, should the players still trust everything he says???

I guess their new saying might be..."In HUD we SORTA trust."

If he interviews and doesn't get it he would do what every coach in the country would do. "I did not interview for any position I am happy where I am and look forward to the future with Louisiana."

The players aren't supid. They know Santa clause isn't real. They also know that their coach is paid to do a job, and that a huge pay raise merits a change in venue.

And if Hud is smart he will deny he took any interviews, even if he does.

Look, I don't blame him 1 bit for trying to move up in his career. I really don't. But if it gets put out in the open he interviewed for another job and got shot down, I would be ____ed if I were a UL player and he comes back to UL with his tail bw his legs.

Go tell your boss you are interviewing for a better job. You don't get it. You think it would be awkward when you show up everyday with your old boss????

So you'd prefer a more stoic, realistic approach? With measured confidence and medium-volume cheers? We tried that: his name is Rickey Bustle.

I understand it will suck when he leaves, but I don't think that diminishes what he has done. Just a guy trying to get rich like the rest of us.

Haven't we played 11 games? What am I missing? Why does everyone keep saying he's interviewing after only 9 games? Not that it matters to the point of the conversation
