There is another guy out there that wants to coach again that has strong ties to Manning and has plenty of SEC experience. I'm surprised his name hasn't come up even though he is a UT alum.

I think he's talking about Jon Gruden. But from what I understand, he loves his MNF gig and just signed an extension recently to continue doing it. Not sure he wants to coach again right now, and I would think he woukdve taken the Notre Dame or Tennesse jobs if he did want to...not Ole Miss.

Gruden isnt an Tennessee alum nor does he have much SEC experience. Applewhite is a Texas (obviously also UT) alum but doesnt have SEC experience.

Applewhite was the OC at Bama in '07, that's why i thought of him. Fulmer would be a very interesting fit...

Yep. I've been wrong before. But all I'm saying is the list is missing someone, not that they'll get the job....or agree to take it......You guys need to think outside the box a little......Manning......hmmmm........
