The Cajuns have their home opener tonight against Houston Baptist, followed by games Saturday night vs. Cal State Fullerton and Sunday afternoon against Nicholls State — all first-time basketball opponents for UL.

We've never played Nicholls in basketball??

We've played all three of these teams before, tho' it's been a while for both NSU and HBU. Did a home-&-home with CSU-Fullerton recently.

Nicholls usually has a good basketball team.

Last year they had the big win vs LSU but ended up where we did, .500, despite being in almost every game. So far they've gotten skunked by LSU and Tulane. IDK how good each of those teams are offensively, but both put up 96 on NSU.

Nicholls will be rebuilding this year. They lost the Louisiana player of the year. And their second leading scorer is redshirting this year to recover from an ACL injury. They are very young and small but can shoot it.
