Sports Opinion: The Great Cajun Evacuation

Well, I don't know.... Will there be some cold liquid refreshment waiting for me at the Z-mobile? Seriously, I do want to go. And I will if I can. My job often has weekend tasks. So ... if I don't have to be in St. Tammany or Washington Parishes (or Baton Rouge - ugh!), I just might hit the road to Monroe. I've never been to Monroe via southern LA, only from I-20. I'd probably shoot up I-55 to I-20 and then over to the west. ANYTHING to avoid driving thru BR! I'll let you know if I'm gonna be able to make the trip. Won't ya save me a seat at Malone if I do?

I don't think Sat AM traffic in BR should be much of an obstacle or excuse...

It looked to me like the students didn't make the "road trip" to Cajun Field last week. Its truly a shame.

Ditto, especially that it was Senior day something many UL students are themselves and still other aspire to be! Very disappointed in the student turn out, hopefully students that read the Verm, frequent Ragin Pagin, Delphi, KLFY, KATC, Daily Advertiser, KPEL, KTDY, KLAF, etc and attend the game this Sunday(lady cajuns), and then MONROE and all UL events there after!!

That wouldn't be the reason for my not going. It would be the reason for which way I travel to Monroe. Coming from Mandeville, it is often preferable to go north up I-55 to Jackson, then west on I-20 to Monroe, rather than thru BR to Alexandria, etc. No, traffic in BR would NOT stop me from going to a UL game, wherever it is played.

That sounds like a better way, 1:45 to Monroe. Don't worry about cold liquid, you'll be able to find some.

Well, when I was in college there wasn't much you could say to talk me out of taking a road trip!

Buffet in the tape deck and a few thirst quenchers were all we neeed to travel!
