I'll bet the farm that this is what the REAL issue is!!In addition, the BCS title game could potentially be bidded out to nontraditional sites, such as Jerry Jones' Cowboys Stadium.
Don't think for a second that this is meant in any way to help any non-AQ programs. Don't listen to what was said...but instead remember who they represent. Oh...and don't EVER lose sight of the MONEY.
This is no way will help current non-AQ conferences. All this is doing is letting the 4 major bowls keep current non-AQ teams out of their bowls. If this had been in place over the past several seasons, Boise, TCU, Utah, etc would have never played in the 4 major bowls because of tie-ins to the major conferences and the bowls' ability to select their opponent.
You wouldn't have had TCU vs. Wisconsin last season. The Rose Bowl would have selected a Pac-10 team to replace Oregon instead of being forced to pick TCU.
