Because if it don't happen this year, it probably will next year. And our administration knows that now that we've had a little success. They better be starting to do some kind of homework of finding the next up and coming guy

and to expand on my previous post.....I see Hud as feeling like UL is his baby...its his first D-1 job where it is him building....not assisting...Spear heading the whole damn thing....You all saw how emotional he got after the ULM game....he wants this to grow and be better so much....and that is why i think he stays for 3 more years. He doesn't want to leave this program hanging.

I agree with you 100%. Any doubters, just watch the post game interview after the Monroe win and tell me Hud is not emotionally connected to this program. I was worried about him leaving this year until I saw that interview. Now, I think he will be here at least 3-4 years.

With that said, if he does get a great offer and leaves, no I will not be surprised. I will thank him and move on.

Too Many people need to sit back and buy into this program, stop looking for reasons for it to crumble and just accept and INVEST in this program. Let it turn into a dynasty. All that Hardwork and support.....DEPOSIT it. All that word your spreading how the Cajuns are good and future is bright!....DEPOSIT it. Now this is good old fashion rumor mill message board fodder at it's best. The only thing missing is for Mr. Bitter to come on the radio Saturday & announce that he heard from a source high within the OLe Miss Administration (Rebel Yell for those who know) that Ole Miss & Hudspeth have agreed to terms on a contract. We will know then, that by Monday afternoon Hud will have signed a ten year extension with UL & a ten million dollar buyout.

Yep, not 1 Mil. I've been told we could get close to 600,000 to 650,000 with incentives. I'm not worried about USM right now.

Wouldn't mind seeing UL benefit from conference realignment and get out of the SBC. That might also help keep him. It fires me up just thinking about the possibility.
