Because if it don't happen this year, it probably will next year. And our administration knows that now that we've had a little success. They better be starting to do some kind of homework of finding the next up and coming guy
I agree with you 100%. Any doubters, just watch the post game interview after the Monroe win and tell me Hud is not emotionally connected to this program. I was worried about him leaving this year until I saw that interview. Now, I think he will be here at least 3-4 years.
With that said, if he does get a great offer and leaves, no I will not be surprised. I will thank him and move on.
Not trolling, and can't substantiate it at all, but today a colleague at work (rabid LSU) got a text from a friend who "works at the airport" who said the Ol' Miss plane was in town.
boooo!
Your friend would be WRONG, track N1UM tail number, no where near Lafayette today, or actually ever.

I'd be sick if he left...
Too Many people need to sit back and buy into this program, stop looking for reasons for it to crumble and just accept and INVEST in this program. Let it turn into a dynasty. All that Hardwork and support.....DEPOSIT it. All that word your spreading how the Cajuns are good and future is bright!....DEPOSIT it. All the renovations around campus, the sellout crowds, the new talented recruits....DEPOSIT IT. And when it comes that time, that we go to Conference USA, climb the ladder to the top of that conference and dominate it, then get invited to Either Big 12 or hell even SEC...Cash that mother ____ing check because Mark Hudspeth wants to build a dynasty and If you're not a part of it then sit back and look for a reason for this to crash and burn, but im investing and saying GEAAAAAAAAAAAAUX Cajuns all the way to the top!
The monster is awake, and he's going to work!
Now this is good old fashion rumor mill message board fodder at it's best. The only thing missing is for Mr. Bitter to come on the radio Saturday & announce that he heard from a source high within the OLe Miss Administration (Rebel Yell for those who know) that Ole Miss & Hudspeth have agreed to terms on a contract. We will know then, that by Monday afternoon Hud will have signed a ten year extension with UL & a ten million dollar buyout.
