    Default New Basketball signee?

I had to get out of the car before Jay and BJ could discuss the new basketball signee on NBC? Who is it?

Sounds like a guy who would play for Denver.

Not exactly. Very versatile guard/forward. Check out CajunRedZone.com for more on basketball recruiting.

The UL basketball team's early signing class has doubled in size, growing by one. Steven Wronkoski, a senior from St. Thomas Aquinas of Hammond, has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Ragin' Cajuns starting next season. Cajuns ...

No information concerning his recruiting on scout.com or rivals.com. Who else was pursuing him?

I'm not questioning Coach Marlin...because if he saw something in him, that's good enough for me. But two are three comments have been made about how good he is. How come no one was interested besides Samford and us?

Wronkowski is more of a system player. I know Tulane was interested at one point but got another commitment.

I have heard some say he cannot create his own shot. That's OK if the system can create a shot for him and he can knock it down. We all know we could have used someone like that this past weekend. He is also 6'4". That will allow him to have an easier time to get it off vs someone like Perez. From what I understand he is also fundamentally sound in all aspects of the game. Although some are unsure about him, Coach Marlin is very excited about bringing him into the fold. Since he knows much more about basketball than most of us, I trust his judgment here. The first Rebounders Club meeting is today. I imagine Coach will touch on both our early signees in his comments.
