Elfird's development will be important b.c it will allow Ramone to focus his energies on guarding the other teams best player if Elfrid can handle some of the PG duties.

One of the announcers on the Don's website said "Boy, this Louisiana team sure does like to shoot the three!"...too bad we can't make them. What, are we 2 for 15 right now??

Need Ramone and Kadeem in the second half. Also, would be sweet if we shoot better than 17% from the 3 in the second half.

Perez and Thompson are the team's top two shooters. Perez is very streaky and doesn't contribute much else other than shooting, so it's tough to keep him on the floor when he's not hitting from the outside (and he really struggled down the stretch last season after a strong career at Centenary). Thompson is the team's top athlete and can score but is still adjusting to becoming a consistent defender at this level.

First, I am extremely encouraged by Elfrid Payton, McClellan, D. Jackson and AMT. I can't understand why Jackson didn't seem to play much the last 10 minutes or so of the first half but he is a player. Payton kept Andrews on the bench much of the half and AMT shows his talent even though he's not shooting the ball really well but I can easily see him coming along soon and shooting much better. Coleby seems like he is targeted on defense as he gets called for tick tack fouls while other guys can play more aggressively. I really like the potential of this team as the year progresses and it will be interesting to see how Marlin hands out minutes and winds down the rotation.

Coleby also needs to stay out of foul trouble, b/c once he is off the floor it is a different game.

AMT has to be able to guard someone.

    .

Well, USF has now essentially gone into a zone daring us to shoot the outside shot which is part of why we are shooting so many. They are going to sag on J.J. and Coleby and McClellan as long as we don't make a few.

"Payton kept Andrews on the bench much of the half" - Think it was those two fouls got a cheep on trying to play defense. They are calling very tick tack
