Most of those shots were good looks and pretty open.

I was especially impressed with Payton and Darnell Jackson. Jackson controlled the game early and even hit a couple of perimeter shots. He is an all around player who can rebound, defend and get up the court. He reminds me very much of a Dwayne Mitchell in his size and style. We didn't win more than one game in this tourney but this team gave me some things to be excited about. I think this could be a very good team.

We have depth, but we dont have three point shooters... I hope we dont face the saggin zone too much this year... Could be trouble...

I think perimeter shooting is definitely something to be concerned about right now

Slappy you warned us before a game had been played that perimeter shooting would be a concern on this team. First weekend shows you knew what you were talking about. From now on, when you have basketball comments I will pay attention.

AMT is going to have to learn how to play defense because we'll need him to be in there for points. Darnell Jackson making 2/3 against USF was nice too. If we're going to win a lot of games this year, it'll be because of Kadeem Coleby, J.J. Thomas, and Darshawn McClellan staying out of foul trouble and scoring.

While we don't have any 3 point snipers, we have some guys who can hit the open 3 and with our new inside game and ability to penetrate, I think we'll get some open shots. AMT shoots the ball well. While he didn't shoot particularly well this weekend, you can see that he is a solid shooter and will help us from the outside. When we penetrated yesterday, USF couldn't stop us and we got a lot of close shots. I feel good about this team, even though they may not be the best perimeter shooting team
