UL Football Heading to Jonesboro for the game?

Well, we've got a little ditty for you. Hopefully the Greater Jonesboro tourism will appreciate the pub.

Okay, I will get this one started. Arkansas is the only state in the Union where steaks are put in a food processor....no one in the state has a set of teeth with which to chew.

  3. Default Re: Top 10 reasons why....

Myth: The backs of Arkansas stAte fans are only scarred up because when they first wake up every morning they can't resist scratching their backs on the rough bark of trees.

Myth Buster: While the above is true and not a myth, the real reason for their self-mutilated back sides . . . is they spend all their free time hopelessly trying to become Razorbacks.

Dad Gum! in more ways than one. That sure looks like the place I'm at in West Memphis. What more can lie ahead. I hope we don't have to cross under any bridges with fairly strang kids playing bajos.

Since nobody else seems itchy to type tonight, I guess I'll rant to the four winds of the internet world. I have a confession to make. I'm feeling the sense of fear around me as I type. It is that sense of fear that makes this time of year so special. This is an opportunity for champions to look their fears in the face & take the victory over them. I have a suspicion that the Hud is or has been in a big meeting room having his final game plan meeting with the guys & at the end of it, he's telling them that there is nothing wrong with sense of fear. It is a natural element that champions must overcome in the struggles of life. It is only when you allow fear to rule over you that you are truly defeated.

I have seen both of these teams play & they are the class of this conference, But I believe this Cajun squad has something that ASU doesn't. It has a special ability to rise above its fears & circumstances & see the crowning glory that lays ahead for those who are bold enough to embrace their fears & defeat them.

If either team says they don't have those thoughts & feelings they are not being honest with themselves. I have seen this team overcome their fears though. I believe they walk into this contest ready & welcoming those same challenges. Welcoming them so they can overcome again to become the masters of their own destiny & Subelt Conference Champions.

All teams have a sense of fear. The fear of losing. They are afraid of having to face the agony of
defeat. Championship teams rise address their fear head on. You are right in that these are the two
best teams and the Red Wolves may be physically better than us. That does not mean we can't win if
we play to our utmost capability. Being emotionally ready is a given. Key will be channeling that
emotion and executing the game plan with crispness. As far as it being quiet tonight, fans are probably trying to deal with the nervous energy. I know I am.

I hope you're right, BK. I have a good feeling about the Cajuns' chances tomorrow. I think they come out tomorrow with something to prove, and win another close one in the 4th quarter. I'll be doing my part to cheer them on to victory.

Does anyone know where the Cajun fans will be congregating tomorrow? I'll be leaving around 6 a.m. and hope to get to Jonesboro around noon. Unfortunately, I have to drive right back after the game, so I'd like to enjoy a little of the pre-game festivities, if possible.

I appreciate that info. Cramped up in this hotel room, I'm suffering from nervous leg syndrome, itchy twitchy back, goose pimples, butterflies, & feeling fired up all at once. I just hope I can sleep tonight. I remember going to Chicago & seeing the snow clouds roll in overhead the night before the game. I stayed up praying for the snow to go around Chicago & the winds & temperature not to fall to low. It was pretty mild & 25 degrees at game time. That sounds cold to us, but it was dry & didn't feel nearly as cold as you would think. The Bears were simply better than the Saints that day because their special teams & defense was too good on a muddy sloppy track which Soldier field is always in winter.

Then I remember coming back in from offshore the day the Saints played in the NFC championship & crying three times that day, because I knew the Saints were going to win their first championship. No doubt that game was a nail biter, but they played a defensive & special teams masterpiece that night. That is the kind of game UL will have to play to win tomorrow. I saw a post where the wind is supposed to be gusting up to 30 MPH. I think Baer will ba have the edge in those kinds of conditions. It's gonna be tough to throw in conditions like that, so we better be able to run the ball. Has anyone heard the status of Qyen? He's a special teams demon & could be ready to step up in this game if he can go.
