This is correct! For instance the Baton Rouge area Boy Scouts are involved in doing the pregame ceremonies on the field. They are getting tickets through the NO Bowl. These tickets are not counted in the 18K that UL has sold.

The scouts are free, the leaders are free, and any other family with them is $10 each. My brother and his family are going for a whopping $10 to the game.

Also, I have NO CLUE as to how many Boy Scouts are coming. They will all be counted towards the attendance since they are being given tickets. It could be 5 or it could be 500!

Hopefully they all cheer for UL since it is a state school.

It will be bad if we dont break their attendance record, this is a one time shot to show what we can do, and if southern miss proves to be the bigger draw, they will be taken over us in the future when they have 7 win years (compared to our 8/9 win years...) on the other hand if we consistently win 8/9 games that should be good enough for sun belt title most years anyway, so its moot point.

2002 19,024 North Texas vs. Cincinnati
2003 25,184 Memphis vs. North Texas

    2006 26,423 Rice vs. Troy
2007 25,146 Florida Atlantic vs. Memphis
2008 30,197 Troy vs. Southern Miss
2009 30,228 Middle Tennessee vs. Southern Miss
    2010 29,159 Ohio vs. Troy
That will still be more than the cumulative actual butts in seats of your beloved Toolame for all of 2011.

Isn't WWL owned by a couple of UL alums?

What the hell is that website? Why all the LSU everywhere? It's hard to read.

I just did an expirement to see where tickmaster would put me buying 2 tickets at "best available". It put me in section 106 (small corner section) on row 25. That could be a good sign as far as the lower bowl being filled.

I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, and I realize this is our "first rodeo," but I'm going with a small group. Before I ordered the tickets, I made sure I found out EXACTLY HOW MANY people we needed in our group. It never occured to me that we could come back later and add tickets to our order, sitting even remotely close to "together." Why would anyone imagine that this is possible? Sorry guys, but I see a lot of people talking about adding to their order of tickets, surprised that they can't get tickets together. have you ever been able to do this sort of thing for any other event that wasn't general admission seating?

Yes. You would have had to pay shipping for them to send your tickets to you. Or you could have picked them up sat at will-call at the dome

WWL is owned by BELO media. WDSU is owned by Tom Benson. Perhaps WDSU is giving more coverage? I would love to see a different TV spot then the blurb I saw.

That is awesome that you are coming that far for the game!!! Really impressive. Makes me realize once again just how HUGE this game is for the Cajun Nation! Is this the first game you make this season? You will be very impressed with the way this team responds to the crowd! This is fun!

I just checked the SDSU board and if I read the thread correctly, they have an allotment of 9500 and they aren't even close to selling it. Some think that they'll be lucky to have 2500 SDSU fans there.
