Avoid the extremes which attract attention. Keep your appearance in the middle, not too drunk or too sober. In other words stay Crunk.
RaginCajuns.com (Dec. 12, 2011) - With only five days left before the 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Ragin’ Cajuns football fans have taken the invitation personally, purchasing almost 18,000 tickets to see the Cajuns take on San Diego State University at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, December 17.
“Ragin’ Cajuns fans have been great,” Director of Athletics Scott Farmer said. “They have once again shown their support for this team and the coaches with their desire to be there in person to see this game. “
Less than 500 tickets remain in the UL allotment, and fans are encouraged to get their tickets now to ensure that they will sit with other Ragin’ Cajuns fans. To purchase bowl tickets please visit the Cajundome Box Office in person before Thursday at 8 p.m.

Leaving Thursday afternoon around 3. Hopefully, we'll make it just in time for Hud's show at Walk-Ons on Poydras St. after checking in to our hotel. Then, I'll be partying all day Friday before making a quick trip back to Lafayette Saturday morning to graduate at 11:30 in the Cajundome. Then, it's back to New Orleans to continue partying. Gonna be an epic weekend!!!
Pretty nice quick-guide. It doesn't avoid the touristy standards, but steers people toward some of the more local sites. Nice job.
And just to get you a little more amped up........

I was thinking at least 30,000. Perhaps in the end there will be at least 30,000 Cajun fans at the game? I would venture to say that a lot of people will simply walk up and buy tickets while others purchased tickets through ticketmasters etc...
too early to tell because of potential outside tickets, BUT 18k is definitely too low because there certainly are not 12k outside tickets purchased....here is the bowl attendance history (and I dont expect SDST to bring more than 2-4k).
It will be bad if we dont break their attendance record, this is a one time shot to show what we can do, and if southern miss proves to be the bigger draw, they will be taken over us in the future when they have 7 win years (compared to our 8/9 win years...) on the other hand if we consistently win 8/9 games that should be good enough for sun belt title most years anyway, so its moot point.
2001 27,004 Colorado State vs. North Texas
2002 19,024 North Texas vs. Cincinnati
2003 25,184 Memphis vs. North Texas
2004 27,253 Southern Miss vs. North Texas
2005 18,338 Southern Miss vs. Arkansas State
2006 26,423 Rice vs. Troy
2007 25,146 Florida Atlantic vs. Memphis
2008 30,197 Troy vs. Southern Miss
2009 30,228 Middle Tennessee vs. Southern Miss
2010 29,159 Ohio vs. Troy
18k is more than any of those schools purchased through their respective schools. Attendance record will be broken Saturday night
Wisconsin returned 2000 of their 15,000 ticket allotment for the big 10 championship game. I'm pretty happy with 18,000. Move move move I would love to top 40,000 for the game overall. I guess we'll see.
