The UL bookstore has great stuff but has not updated it's website in forever, so you don't know what is available. Bell's does not have a website. It is frustrating trying to not only find gear on line, but finding gear without Lafayette. It is time for UL to correct this with the right kind of approved Louisiana mdse. UL is losing a lot of revenue by not approving the right name on its gear, especially when damand is so high. That the UL Bookstore has not updated it's website is also cause for alarm.
Well I agree a jillion per cent with this post & I understand that there is a need to realistically temper goals & expectations. I really, really, really, believe this team is much, much, much better, certainly much better than I ever expected them to be this year. I also see the growth in this team on all three sides of the ball from where it was to where it is. While I wish things would have turned out better in Jonesboro, & that these guys would have had a rest week somewhere earlier along the way, it also gave this group a unique opportunity to work with this staff in a high stress environment for weeks on end. To that end I think this team is maybe an extra year ahead in their preparation skills that would dictate their being able to handle a myriad of offensive schemes. I also think with the rest they would be much better on the O line & being able to run the ball to help set up the rest of their offense. In other words, I would rather see them in an exciting competitive game against a higher ranked BCS or non AQ qualifier, than a fifth ranked CUSA team that has to slide into a bowl berth on their bellies. I really hope Houston goes BCS & leaves CUSA wanting for a fifth qualifier.
There's plenty of Cajun gear to be found locally. Try to buy a little from everyone. I've spread my spending around LA Hot Stuff, Academy, Albertson's, UL Bookstore, BedBathBeyond and I seem to remember a few little things from WalMart, Target and a Shell gas station.
I agree. If I could rank my top 5 choices out of schools who some of are only slightly possible I would go
1. Southern Miss
2. Illinois
3. Syracuse
4. Texas tech
5. SMU
5.
Chances are that CUSA will not have the necessary eligible teams to fill all of their bowl slots, and that a couple of Major conferences will have too many eligible schools.
Would you rather play SMU, East Caolina, or Marshall.....or Iowa State, Iowa, Purdue, or Syracuse?
To me, if SMU is not coming, I 'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a shot at one of those Major programs.
Anybody hear anything about UCF? I had heard that they were a possibility but haven't heard much about them in a while
We should be hearing soon from the athletic department. I made my reservation today and it was $89 for 2 tickets and was told that I would receive a call to choose seats soon he also said that those would probably be 100 level seats. The gentleman in the athletic department was very helpful even though he sounded like he hadn't stopped all day long
It is my understanding that RCAF members will be seated first (The higher the contribution, the better the seats) then season ticket holders with no RCAF membership will be seated second, then students will be seated third and finally the general public with no season tickets or RCAF membership who called and reserved tickets will be seated last.
OK, Was just checking. i'm not sure they are really sure how they are doing it since this is all new to them and the first time through it. but, she told me that the deposited people went first in the order described. then the people that ordered once it became first come fisrt serve would be seated in the order listed as well.
so was wondering if since we deposited early it gave precedence over the ones who chose not to?
