This article is a year old, but it illustrates the importance of purchasing New Orleans Bowl game tickets directly from UL's ticket office. It becomes clear that the fans need to participate in the Bowl experience "Big Time" in order for their school to be in the Black after expenses. Let's get after it "Cajun Fans"!!!!!

Thanks
I wonder how much UL will save, being able to bus to New Orleans?
Sounds like we will have fun
Heck...I think I've enjoyed reading some of these comments as much as I did reading the article itself.
See y'all in New Orleans!

I hope the New Orleans Bowl gives UL more tickets than 10,000.The Mid-American Conference had negotiated an agreement with the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl where their school’s payout was based solely on how many tickets it could sell, Ohio University Associate Athletic Director Dan Hauser said in an interview.
The Athens, Ohio, school received 10,000 tickets valued at $450,000. It sold 2,181 tickets, generating $98,150, for a game in Detroit about 278 miles north, at 1 p.m. the day after Christmas.
Since its expenses were $164,464, the school lost $66,314 playing in the game, according to university records.
“There was a cost, but this is our business,” Hauser said. “We’re about getting kids to the postseason in every sport, men’s and women’s. And they all cost money.”
Crown Astor Plaza...
Thank you Jay. Im a long way from Cajun land tonight and that was a great way to get connected back home. That is one great article.
Love the article Jay. It really brings it home to reflect on those who so loved the Cajuns and will join us in New Orleans in spirit only. I hope this is especially sweet for those that contributed so much of their heart, energy and time in the many tough years leading up to this. The old and the new join together as one big Cajun family to celebrate this momentous occasion. How sweet it is.
