The one thing that I dont get and Jay, you've mentioned it on your radio show a few times, is that you say each conference sends as many crews as they got bowl invites. The fundamental problem with that is that 70 teams got invited to 35 bowl games. That would mean 70 officiating crews for 35 games. Since they dont have 2 crews working each game, I'm assuming it actually goes by ratios, or gets cut in half basically, in order to keep equal representation by conferences in bowls.
So the SBC with 3 invites would send either 1 or 2 crews to games. A conference with 8 teams in games would send 4 crews and the total would come out to 35 officiating crews.
Make any sense or is that wrong?
