CajunT does he still work for Aflac or no?
Slappy that is the post of the day----This was probably the ONLY way to get revenge on those _______s for not choosing UL and if you think about it----really hurting our program which obviously needed a boost---Can I call upon you and some more on this board to send appropriate letters to the editor of the Shreveport paper????? Think I will even try if I can figure out how to do an E-Mail!!!
I got an email Ritas Tequila house on Bourbon is owned by a UL alum so if you get a chance go by and give the guy some business.
I don't think CUSA wants to lose the NO Bowl tie and I assure you the NO Bowl doesn't want to lose CUSA. It just worked out the way it did this year. After going to Hawaii, USM is going to be glad to return to the NO Bowl in the future. Just what UL will do to help improve the image of the NO Bowl this year is going to put a few more CUSA ADs liking the invite to future NO Bowl games.
We played against Wyoming in the early 90s. Crazy game, had a windstorm during the game and a snow storm on the way to the airport after the game.
Bourbon Streeet Blues Company is where we typically hang out with the young'ns. Never had a problem getting them in there before.
I was at that game. Pre-game was about 60 degrees. A front came in during the game with heaving wind, snow and freezing temps by the end of it. The game was on Sept. 14, 1991 and we lost 28-15. I remember Wyoming had a nice, but small campus and a stadium that only seats about 30,000 - 35,000. I do remember seeing posters around the stadium of all the bowl games Wyoming had been to including a Sugar Bowl game vs. LSU. I that time, I didn't realize Wyoming's football history.
Don't hang out on Bourbon. There are tons of other places worthwhile. It's good for the tourists in your group to check out, but that's about it. Not saying that this applies to you, but it bothers me when visitors from out of state spend all of their time on Bourbon and think that is New Orleans. Sure, it's part and should be seen, but that's certainly not the quality of New Orleans.
Just went to the post office and in my box was a commemorative New Orleans Bowl issue. Made my day. I'm ready to leave right now.
