I don't mind being in traffic, as long as my butt is in my seat in plenty of time. My party wants to leave from lafayette at about 2pm. Think I'm safe?
link?
Just got email confirmation for our room. Leaving early Friday morning for my appointment with Dr. Bouligny.
SO ABSOFRICKINGLUTLY GEEKED FOR THIS WEEKEND.
Promotions: Weak so far. One television add showing up on a regular basis. I do not pay attention to what station, but my bet is channel 4, 6, and local ads for ESPN.
Tickets: The tickets UL has are the tickets that the bowl has furnished them. People who wanted better seating need to not buy through UL. The best of those tickets went very early, and again only the tickets provided by the bowl to UL.
yes it is suppose to be great
If I have to be in New Orleans for a specific time, no matter what the day is, I always go Hwy 90 through Morgan City. I leave 15 or 20 minutes earlier than I would if I take the interstate. Getting hung up in the Basin or in Baton Rouge can easily burn an hour. With all the construction going on in Baton Rouge burning an hour is a pretty good bet.
Putting things in perspective:
18000 is more than double what any Sun Belt school has sold in the past.
You can expect a crowd in excess of 40,000 for the game.
