I say we demolish the attendance record of 30,228 by ourselves!
Louisiana’s win over Louisiana-Monroe Saturday afternoon was their eighth of the year. But there has been no announcement of a bowl bid for the Cajuns.

Question Jay... In the event of the three way tie, would the New Orleans Bowl fully fulfill their obligation for the 4 year span by picking the Cajuns? Or does it have to be an outright champ for them to get credit for taking the "champion"?

The only thing wrong with your scenario is number two whould be number one in the story. Thanks for the explanation, I think.
Well, we've waited 41 years ... I guess we can hold on for another few weeks. ;>)
Perhaps the SBC needs a 3rd bowl tie in, rather than a contingency. The bowl in Birmingham is in close proximity to several Belt schools, as is the Independence. If schools will schedule in an appropriate fashion, then 3 eligable teams will be easily accomplished.
Scenario 1: What if Mobile does not want ASU?
Some people were saying that the New Orleans Bowl "has 1st pick". If they choose us and we are not Conference Champs, must they work with the GoDaddy bowl to ensure that the conference champ is taken BEFORE they can announce there choice? Does NO Bowl really have "1st pick"?
Mobile will be fine with ASU. Part of the holdup is if the tie is between us and WKU. I don't think Mobile is enthralled with the Hilltoppers.
The GoDaddy bowl only has the current conference tie-ins through 2013. After that they were suppose to take a Big East team and another "Eastern team". With the potential for a Big East implosion it could get interesting.
Point of this is that the SBC could be losing that bowl tie-in.
another question about the tix you get from putting deposit down...when it comes time to buy the actual tickets; how can you assure you sit next to friends? Do you have to buy tix together or will it be a sort of general admission for seating?
