DENTON, Texas - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajun football team got a couple of long-standing monkeys off their backs in Saturday's 31-28 win at North Texas.

UL hadn't beaten UNT since 1982, having lost five in a row in the past five years. More importantly, the Cajuns' current three-game win streak - all three by three points in last-minute fashion - is the first since a five-game win streak during the 1995 season.

That year, UL also won two straight road games and hadn't done that again until the last three weeks when the Cajuns took their wins at Middle Tennessee and UNT. If UL can win its Nov. 26 regular-season finale at UL Monroe, it will mark the first three-game road win streak in 35 years since the Cajuns won three away from home in the Grantland Rice Bowl season of 1970.
