I'm sure we all have to realize that we have to beat Florida International first. They just beat one of the better teams in the Belt. But it's kinda hard not to think of Title hopes just because it IS in our grasp. Revenge against UCF would be sweet.

We just have to take care of our business. If we do that the pieces should fall in our favor. A match-up with USM would draw a HUGE crowd. They will probably be in another bowl though.

2) Have a winning season

UL, A-State win out:

-A-State goes to the N.O. Bowl due to tiebreaker

UL, A-State, MT win out:

-Tie breakers out the window
-Bowl selects SBC representative, I like our chances here


In summary, hope A-State loses to either UNT or Troy, or MT wins out.

Yes still need some help. If we end up tied with ASU for the title, ASU goes to the New Orleans Bowl based on head-to-head tiebreaker. We need another ASU loss or hope we end up in a 3-way tie.

north texas went into the n.o. bowl a few years ago 5-6 as i recall; maybe if you earn a bowl spot as a conference champion, it doesn't matter if you have 6 losses. maybe the 6 loss criterion only counts if you're to be considered as an at-large choice for a bowl.
