Thread: The Championship scenario is...

UL Football The Championship scenario is...

We are tied with ASU and troy, half a game ahead of UNT and MTSU, and one game behind ULM... win out and we will get a minimum of a tie for the SBC title... should ULM win next week then lose to us and ASU wins out, then we have a 3 way tie, tiebreakers neutralized... what determines the champion? Our best scenario would be to win out and have ASU lose to troy or unt... Its very doable here people... just gotta play some second half D in the next two games...

If UL, Monroe, and ASU tie for first, the New Orleans Bowl selects the representative from the Sun Belt Conference. Everyone knows that will pick the school that will travel best and sell the most tickets. They'll pick the Cajuns.

If ULM looses another game, they would have lost 6 games.Bowl Ineligible!

Thats a big roger there good buddy. The Cajuns just need to win out the next two games and I think we will be bowling at home.

would this eliminate them from a 3 way tiebreaker, giving ASU a tiebreaker over us? could get interesting...

Would the committee still decide who goes to the bowl?

I think North Texas will beat them in the final game of the season anyway.

AND THE MUDDOGS ARE HEADED TO THE BOURBON BOWL!!!!!!!

...oh wait that was a goffy movie I just saw the rerun of. Its great that we are still in the hunt but we just need to take care of the next games and let everything else fall into place. It was great the way this team fought tough and never gave up the last few games.

I missed the last drive last night after the Combs touchdown but cox is rebroadcasting the game on tuesday. I'm gonna have to set the digital recorder and watch over again.

If ASU has a winning record. No team with a losing record will represent the SunBelt.

I'm sure we all have to realize that we have to beat Florida International first. They just beat one of the better teams in the Belt. But it's kinda hard not to think of Title hopes just because it IS in our grasp. Revenge against UCF would be sweet.
