This game is gonna be tough, I mean really tough. We thought that FIU was good, but this ASU team is dang good. Aplin is a phenomenal QB, but he is prone to mistakes. He's thrown 11 picks this year, but he has thrown only 1 per game in his last 3 games, so he has been doing a pretty good job protecting the ball, but not flawless. If he throws his normal 1 pick, we need to make sure we throw 0 because we need to be on the plus side of the TO margin this game. Their defense is really good, in fact, their defense is #21 in the country in scoring defense, and have given up 30+ only once (their first game against Illinois) and since have only given up more than 25 1 more time after that. That's an impressive feat considering they played Va Tech earlier. That defense is flat out good, they will shut you down, but on top of that, they're like us and they are opportunistic and can create turnovers, although, I'm not really worried about us throwing INT's because of how efficient Blaine has been throwing the ball.
My heart and head are in complete disagreement on this one, when I look at the paper and take the names off the stat sheet, the winner is clear, I see ASU on the plus side, to the tune of 34-28, BUT, I just cant pull my heart away from the determination that I know this team has. I hate to say that this is a team of destiny, but something about them makes me feel that way. I think that they dig down deep and pull off yet another miracle in this dream season, and I think we win 32-28.
