Of the teams with a chance, I think Marshall or UCF would be our best chance at a win.

SMU attendance is pathetic. Homecoming last week was 20k announced.......at best half of that were actually in seats. Stadium was mostly empty. They do not have broad fan support here in Dallas area. The Shetland Ponies are extremely beatable. UL matches up very good and would win easily if we play to our capability. We'd have a significant homefield advantage from fan support as well.

...and yet UNT is over on the CUSA page talking about their TV market. Nobody watches these teams even when they are winning and that has to be discounted.

I thought this game was on Saturday the 17th.

Edit: Just found the official release from the N.O. Bowl - it's on December 17th at 8pm.

Another crack at the Fighting Illini would be nice.

I liked this point that he made in the article:

    • Most bowls are not obligated -- I repeat, NOT OBLIGATED -- to choose in exact order of conference standings. For instance, "Big 12 No. 3" means "third selection of Big 12 teams," not "the Big 12's third-place team."

I caught that, too. Nice to have that clarified.
