Thread: Redzone seating for students for the bowl game.

I gotta believe if the NO bowl would sell $30 tickets to a group of 20 or more, that the University couldn't negotiate a package of 5 or 6 hundred tickets for about $25 each and turn around and pass it to the students for about $35. If I can get the 17th off I will be there regardless, but I would like to look over and see some loud mouth students over there. If I don't bring my kids I might sneak over and join them.

Group tickets are available (sideline plaza / $40 seats) for groups of 20 or more for $30. I'm sure that's what they are trying to get for the students.

Default Who Might We Play In New Orleans Bowl?

I see that the tie in for the New Orleans Bowl lists CUSA #5 vs Sun Belt. If you look at the CUSA standings, you see a lot of teams that are not eligible. I'm not sure that the number five team in CUSA will have six wins. If that's the case, where do they go next??

Could be almost anybody at that point. Depending on what happens in the next 3 or so weeks, I'm thinking we might see either East Carolina or SMU.

I saw on CBS or Scouts predictions that we would be playing UCF. I would like to beat up on them like FIU did.

Perhaps someone in the MAC if CUSA doesn't have enough qualified teams.

I'm with you on that. Anyone else sort of hope we play someone from further away like UCF, Tulsa, Marshall, or ECU? That way we have a home field advantage in the dome? I think either SMU or Southern Miss would bring a decent crowd and the home field advantage would be diminished. Sure they we be good for the attendance, but I don't really care about that. I want to win the game.

Anyone from the MAC would work too. They're far away. Plus we already beat up on one of them this year.

I hope whoever we play does not have red as a school color. That way we can really stand out in N.O. and at the game!

    STANDINGS CONFERENCE OVERALL

    Conference USA - East W-L

    Southern Miss 8-1
    East Carolina 4-5
    Marshall 4-5
    UCF 4-5
    Memphis 2-7
    UAB 1-8

    Conference USA - West W-L

    Houston 9-0
    Tulsa 6-3
    Southern Methodist 6-3
    Rice 3-6
    UTEP 4-5
    Tulane 2-8

Only four have winning records right now and four will have to get two more wins to reach 6.
