No, you are not a "loser", Marine! And there are always some legitimate excuses for leaving early. But not for ALL of those who left early. I am not for calling anyone who WAS there and left early a loser. Just teasing them that they missed out on the finish of a lifetime is torture enough for them. Hopefully that will inform them and others that it is a bad idea to leave before the end of the game, UNLESS you have to for reasons such as yours. See you in New Orleans!

That's one I really missed at the end of my HS career - that locker room camaraderie that develops among the teammates. I imagine it is even stronger for college players because of the demands that college programs bring. Tell him congrats on the victory in his final home game and to keep focused on winning the last 2 regular season games! Wouldn't that be great to close out at 10-2? I know they can do it!
I think they didn't want it to end....it was an emotional day for all of them and they left it all on the field. Some of the boys we ate with were completely worn out. I tried not to talk about it much and let him savor every moment. I know this is a tight group of young men and a tight group of seniors. I am glad people have taken notice of their talent. They will all be missed next year. Yes they did notice the white out and loved it. I have heard from many of them that it is nice to feel respected again. Last year was rough. So with that said onward to Arkansas State and another victory. I will tell him congrats...take care.

Thanks for passing on my congrats! I posted elsewhere that I love this senior class. And it was very evident in his post-game interview that Coach Hud really loves these guys, too! I enjoyed seeing y'all all down on the field in the pre-game. I'm sure that was a bittersweet, very proud moment for your whole family. I should've added on my previous post that we are all (Cajun Nation) looking forward to a bowl game experience and, hopefully, a victory! Regardless of how the season ends, this has been a great season for the team, the fans, and the whole community! Of course, 11-2 would make it that much sweeter! Looking forward to the rest of the season!

Missing Mandy I think I parked next to you and your family. If it was you and your family I was the one talking about the man who was in that other schools warm up suit.
