I stood there at the end of the game and watched about 5 players laying on their backs on the field...overtaken by the emotion of it all. DAMN...glad I was there to see it!

I watched Gibson fall to his knees...if I had been on the field and gone through that I would have done the same...it's the only thing one can do when you are emotionally and physically spent. Congrats to these kids, these coaches, the fans that watched on TV and listened on the radio from far away, and the fans who stayed. We all earned it. I want that title. Let's go get it.

SHAME on all the fans that left!! I hope you learned your lesson....I don't care if we didn't come back to win, the players deserve our respect. If the fans are the twelth man, then we're a part of the team, and WE DON'T QUIT ON OUR TEAM MEMBERS!!!

For the last 1:06 of the game, I was standing down by the rail around the 20 yard line where the Sun Belt TV official was. Our o-line was watching the game from that side of the sideline. It was fun watching those 300lb guys jump around like a bunch of 8 year old girls at a pop concert. Words cannot describe the amount of emotion our and fans (those that remained) had over the last 2 min of the game.

Before the game, I said that this could be the biggest game in Cajun football history. That statement comes from the fact that we were going for an 8-2 season, 5-0 at home, and an official bowl bid since 1970. At the end of everything, maybe "the biggest game in Cajun football history" is a stretch. But the game was defiantly one that we will not forget.
