Yes, she had surgery on her wrist....something that needed to be done. She will be ready to go in the spring.

Adding to what T said: Christi recently had surgery on a torn tendon in her hand. She'd been playing with it torn for more than a year. Pretty amazing.

The girls always look so 'girlie' for these half time introductions. Nice! What an awesome group! Awesome accomplishments! Congratulations Lady Cajuns!

That's because they are young ladies, and it's not just when you see them at photo ops.

Your comment reminds me of one of the things that got me hooked on this program. I was attending Alfred Lamson's funeral, Stefni was eulogizing him. The players were there, dressed in what most of us would consider traditional funeral attire. Stefni made the comment that it was appropriate for them to be dressed that way, not, as some people might have expected, in their softball uniforms. She talked about how Mr. Lamson started supporting the program after meeting and talking with the players. He talked about how impressed he was with how mannerly and courteous they were, how polite and respectful, while still being straight-forward and honest, industrious and hard-working. They demonstrated character to him and that is why he started supporting young ladies who happened to play softball.

Fast forward a few years. I've only been around the softball program for a few short years, but I think I see the things that Stefni said he saw in the early days. Stefni & Mike are bringing in young ladies of class and dignity who happen to have some softball playing ability. It is a privilege for me to be able to invest in these young ladies and I am grateful for the opportunity.

OK according to CajunT's documentation it seems the rings from 2011 were distributed during the same calendar year during the 2011 football season.

Now as to whether the 2012 final rankings differ from 2011 I do not know.

There was no ring ceremony during the 2012 football season.

That timing is about right. Only 6 months late. Maybe the decision will be included in the "Master Plan".
